Welcome to Homepage of The Second Nanostructures (NS2008) Conference! The NS2008 is an international conference on synthesis, modeling and applications of nanostructured materials. This conference is jointly organized by Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Sharif University of Technology and Kish University. The NS2008 will provide an international forum for presentation and discussion of the latest scientific concepts and technological developments, covering all aspects of nanostructured materials. The program will feature plenary and invited presentations, contributed oral and poster presentations, and a commercial exhibition. On average the Nanostructures conference has 200-250 participants. The NS2008 conference will be held in Kish Island, which is a free-trade zone in the south of I.R. Iran in the Persian Gulf. The organizing committee will arrange 5 keynote lectures, 16 oral sessions, 2 poster presentation sessions, and one day workshop. It will also include discussions intended to promote intensive interdisciplinary scientific exchange and working contacts between leading researchers in I.R. Iran and the rest of the world. We shall also plan colorful social programs with which participants from abroad will be able to experience traditional Iranian culture.
On behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, I would invite you to submit original research papers on science and technology of nanostructures. All the papers will be peer reviewed and high-quality standard manuscripts will be considered for publication in the conference proceedings.
